Ensuring forever 

Psalms 119:89-90 (NIV) 

89 Your word, O LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. 

90 Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you 

established the earth, and it endures.

Suppose these words were never spoken? Not here or in other places is Scripture. They were never read aloud? And all the other confessions of God’s word and its power were never rehearsed by you or anyone else on earth, would the earth be here now? Would we be here? 

Now suppose all it takes to bring eternity forward is to confess God’s word, to read it aloud. Rehearse what it says in God’s hearing? His word agreed with by our confession, our reading aloud.

Having heard his word confessed by you and others, what might God do about it?
