Count it all Joy, James 1:2

Just as I approached the intersection, a shiny red Volvo from a side street squealed to a halt with its front end protruding past the corner and into the street, causing me to veer to the left in avoidance. I was fortunate that there were no vehicles in the left lane as I suddenly moved partially into it without the time to look. And I was tempted to look back at the driver of the Volvo as if I could somehow determine why she had not come to a complete stop prior to entering the cross street, causing the threat of an accident. Perhaps she had been on a cell phone or looking into the mirror to adjust her makeup or comb her hair. Without the ability to determine the cause of her action, I could at least glare at her!

But to feed that temptation, I would have had to pass up a good opportunity to praise God for His protection and my safety.

James 1:2-3 (NIV) 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.
