The Wolverine

He thought himself a wolverine. I know, it makes no sense: but from a very young age he would growl ferociously and chase other kids and bite t;hem–- this even with his baby teeth. And he eventually convinced his parents that God or some other great being had made a mistake; he was a wolverine in the body of a boy.

Well, school officials were not having it! He was born a boy and that was it. His parents eventually decided to home-school him, as a wolverine – an easy job because wolverines don’t read or write or do math. And so for 4 years they simply fed him and avoided him so they would not be bitten. And they kept him hidden and tucked away from the public, for protection of the public. And this lasted for a while; until his strength grew to the point that they could not handle him, and  his permanent teeth grew bigger and stronger.

One day as they ran to escape him, he was spotted by a neighbor who was horrified, then attacked herself. He was apprehended by the authorities and institutionalized.

There are no details on his care, we assume it was humane, whatever humane is in that situation? And, he continued to insist that the God had made a big mistake.

There was nothing the institution could do. For a boy born a girl there were hormone treatments to grow breasts and soften the voice, and surgeries to remove the Adam’s apple and . . .    . But to transition to a wolverine---nothing.  That is, until it was discovered that a brilliant scientist in a far away country where boys are not always boys and all little girls can always be whatever they desire had developed and copyrighted the Wolverine Humane Conversion Process (WHCP). The process was so horribly expensive it had never been used. But now with the United States government declaring that all prisoners were entitled to appropriate medical care at government expense, price was not an issue, and no one considered the value of the WHCP to society. And so a month from today there will be the first WHCP ever performed.

It has yet to be decided what will happen to the converted creature, will it be carted off to an acceptable homeland in the upper North West, or maintained in a prison no-petting zoo. There are certain to be many WHCPs to follow, for those who suppress the truth love to follow anything other than God’s word.

Romans1:18-28 NIV 

18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse 

21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles. 

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. 

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. 28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.
